Having a double album, it would be for me the right path, in spite of some songs are disjointed. with the whole, in fact, nothing guarantees that an Abum of 12 songs is not disjointed. Bounce is the example. But if you have in your possession a double album Bounce, you can create your album of 12 songs about 9/11, better fitted.
Basically, it is what I mean at first. It has a double album, it is to have a good guarantee to choose your ideal album of 12 songs.

I see what you mean. The thing is though, and it is my own personal feeling only, that I don't think it is two equal artists working together. As much as I like Ori as a songwriter Richie is on a different level. Ori didn't write anything on her record that had the pop hits - much of it was even recorded before the lead singer was chosen to an extend that even Phil X is on the guitar on the record, which is obviously completely counterproductive Ori being Ori. Her other records have been a bit thin on good material, not that the pop record was great either, but just going through what she has written. Playing is there and unlike some others I like her voice, but she hasn't been able to write enough good songs.
She is a fine player, but a bit more of a hired gun than a writer. Richie is a writer. If they have ten good songs I will be more than satisfied to be honest. I guess it goes around to what you said - that maybe they and the produced fail to pick the right ones. But I am personally more worried about the quality of the material in general. It has taken an awfully long time to make this record.
But, I am still hoping for the best.
