I'm not sure, but I don't think what you're referring to is the aforementioned "vocal-blob" - there's a very faint voice in the background (not Jon singing). It's very low and brief sound that appears to be someone talking in the background - perhaps the producer, or engineer? (as previously postulated)

I noticed that "voice-break" when I initially listened to the song, and I kinda like it - which is weird I suppose! You can hear it in the orignial YT link, just after Jon sings "coming home". I'm pretty sure that that's not what Manbou is referring to, but please correct me Mabou if I'm wrong!!
