The marketing plan seems to be abandoning their rock roots in hopes of cashing in on what I've been calling the post-Elmo demographic.

Love the song, very WDR-esque but as others have mentioned would love it even more with guitars louder in the mix. I loved WDR.

The pre-pre-teeny bopper crowd who started out on Sesame Street, graduated to Disney pop, and can't handle anything heavier than Taylor Swift, LOL!

No, just no. THINFS sounded a bit like Have A Nice Day but this is just pure pop. How can anyone who likes classic rock / rock ever listen to this. By watching the chat it is just clear that Jon is old and doing the same things over and over again. All he says is 'integrity' all I hear are the same motives in every ****ing song. I just think he is boring as a person and tries hard to be relevant. I'd say I am disappointed but I don't care enough for that

I love classic rock and again I love this song!! I have all kinds of rock ranging from lighter to really heavy/speed metal on my iPod. Is this going to be a pattern of "all the songs suck" because you don't like Jon the guy based on your perceptions of the events of your Soul Kitchen experience? I will tell you I've met the guy several times over the course of 20 years and I had a completely different take away than you did.

No, I don't just not like the guy because of the things at Soul Kitchen but I surely don't want to get into it here.
Back when I started liking Bon Jovi I thought Jon was likeable but whenever I see an interview nowadays or see how he poses with his female fans on RT there is nothing to like about him for me because he just seems fake/bored/repetitive/arrogant.

Fair enough. I've based my opinion of him from my interactions and meetings I've had with him over the years. Do I think he can be the negative characteristics you've mentioned, sure, but to an extent every human can possess the same but there are a ton of positives that outweigh the negative. I'll also leave it at that.

My daughters are almost in that demographic and they were like "ok, next" when I played the song. They really like THINFS, so much that it made their nightly listen-or-I-don't-go-to-sleep playlist with the first 2 albums. Listening to THINFS, then LTOR then 80s BJ is an experience, thankfully I will skip Knockout lol

I think they are trying to appeal the fans they attracted with HAND. Which doesn't bother me RIGHT NOW as it would've ten years ago because I've seen the alternative and I could be waaaaaay worse. Remember how proud they were of The Circle and *shudders* WAN?

It's a tiny step in the right direction, as far as I'm concerned. They wrote themselves into a corner with their choices post-Crush and it's too late for a drastic change
