New song - Knockout

Once again people here bitchin and complaining as usual, u know Jon had a live FB Q&A earlier today u could have shared your complaints and grievances to him personally i am sure he would have welcomed your questions and gladly amswered them, you complainers missed an opportunity oh well

You do realize that people can like different things right? I don't get what's so wrong about pointing out the things you dislike in something. As I was free to say how much I loved Burning Bridges and what an amazing song Fingerprints was, I can say that this song is average to me and that a better production could have make it way better than it is.

About the Q&A, sadly I missed it because I have things to do during the day, but I wouldn't have wasted in complaining but in asking interesting stuff.

I guess it's easy to share your disappointments about the new songs and Jon's voice hear than having the opportunity to go straight to the source. And you can be polite and respectful to him while being straight forward and directly ask him questions. My point is that you guys here are just wasting time complaining about the new music and yet Jon gave the opportunity to ask him anything. Says alot about the people here, you can talk the talk but not willing to walk the walk.

Rosa, if you think Jon would even consider answering anything negative or anything that isn't what he wants to answer then you don't know Jon at all. People here have been discussing the band for years here. Yes, some of them are over the top and unnecessarily harsh but this is the board. No one is forcing you to read the threads that annoy you but trying to change what has always been an open course of discussion is a losing battle.

I would agree with you if one of us had the chance to do an exclusive interview with him in person. But since that didn't happen, I would like to emphasize what Captain Jovi already pointed out:

Of course i know Jon would probably not answer if u came out and asked him why is your so bad or why your songs are not as good as they were before. But there is a way to ask him without sounding offensive or disrespectful. You can say something like 'i have notice in these last albums your voice is different than before, is this something you are more comfortable in singing now?' i think if u asked him more or less in this way he may be willing to answer.

I don't even think he answered a question by a male! All women and pretty much most of the questions were crap.

A new album is out soon and still people go on about philanthropy.

I think you're right there were all women questions. I also agree that the first half of the thing wasn't Interesting. It's also obvious that he didn't randomly picked them as it went, he or someone else were picking before.
With that said, I think the second part was good at least for me, the questions about what he would have changed, his favorite and memoribale shows, and what the album would be like.
And about the charity, it was probably one of a million questions, he just wants to talk about that. It's the same with other bands that I know who do charaties, they can't have one intrview without discussing it though it's not interesting for most of the fans...
