So, on the positive side I like the songwriting, it has a Phil X solo on it (you can tell that if you know a bit of his music) which is actually good imo, it's got energy. And you can hear guitars in the mix, not like in Knockout.
On the flipside, it all sounds too accurate, too electronic. The vocal production has improved since WAN, but they still sound very robotic if you take that artificial (rasp) out of it. Overall, the production (sorry, wichi850262!) has not ruined the song, but made it less good compared to the live version which I really liked. Oh yeah, and the leaked track seems to be very low-quality, but let's see how the proper version of tomorrow will be.
I have nothing against 1 or 2 EDMish songs on each album, when they are well made (like Take Back the Night, which I actually like quite a lot). But maybe the Jon+John team should ask themselves if they aren't overdoing it a bit. And I hope that we will get a lot of variety on the album, not only concerning the songwriting, but also the production - as it almost could only get better
