This House Is Not For Sale (2016) - Post First Single Release Album Discussion

I'm going the other way round: I wanted to listen to the album first so I've only listened to a couple of songs from the live shows and no snippets at all so far and it's very frustrating, all the more since I've been reading the comments here and elsewhere!

Jon's voice is much better in the studio -of course- but there's more energy in the live versions -of course- too bad we can't have both at the same time.
The guitars sound way too much like Big Country's and U2's.

I love this album. A lot.

The Devil's In the Temple is the best song they have released in a while.

Some thoughts:

-This album sounds like an album. The order the songs are is spot on. Even Knockout shines in the place where it is, and I hate this song.

-Living with the Ghost is very emotional. I wonder why they don't play the solo live.

-Rollercoaster chorus is bad, but not as bad as we thought.

-The Devil's in the Temple sounds immense. It must be one of the best songs since TD. The ending is ****ing awesome.

-the Scars on this Guitar ending is really good too, with all the voices layered.

-Come on up to Our House is a christmas song.

-Real Love is better than Blind Love

-We Don't Run lost its punch. The Burning Bridges version is more aggressive, I don't know why they mixed it that way now.

-The bonus songs are better than most of WAN.
