These lyrics are god awful. "Look at me being clever, I can use the word waves in 2 different ways." A wave from the sea and a woman who waves. Whoop di doo. She styled her hair in waves and then she waved to the waves in the sea.

His introduction is shocking as well. This is a 60 year old man who looks like he actually believes the utter nonsense he's talking. "Waves is about letting go. A wave comes, takes and then goes". Yeah, no sh1t.

So far most of the album sounds alright but most lyrics could've been written by a 16 year old.

The Songs are catchy but the Lyrics are terrible.

Jon saying he is now a better writer then he was when writing Bad Name is just a lie.

'I got my Girl cause she believes in me' is not fitting for a 60-year-old man.
Or 'we were crashing cars'

Tbh: Taylor Swift who is so big and 'mainstream' has got lyrics on her album that are like fine poetry + they are catchy and complex.

She is in a totally different league compared to Jon
