I hear ya. Newsday is pretty solid media source though.
Waiting on the Rolling Stone, Paste, and maybe even Pitchfork(lol) reviews.

I agree with you about the positive reviews, but disagree about the nagative. So you are saying the review can be biased as long as it is well written? I think a review that obviously comes with an agenda should be binned as rubbish no matter how tidy the language or knowledge of the subject. Positive or negative

If you're willing to accept and praise a positive review then you should also accept a negative review.

I can accept it as long as the author is knowledgeable and understanding of the band's history, has a finger on the pulse of 21st Century music overall, and validates in their words that they gave THINFS a thorough and fair assessment.
If this is evident, and the review is negative...
then I just differ opinion which is perfectly fine.

Again, I agree. The positive reviews posted so far were nonsense too. My point is, the Classic Rock review is known to be written by someone with an agenda. It made valid points, but ones that have been made on here many times. I would welcome a negative review from someone not so tied to the band one way or another.

Now, if there was a positive review written very well in a respected outlet by someone who sucked Jon's balls at every chance, it would be dismissed as fawning. Rightly so.

You're right about this. Some of the positive media reviews that I have posted links to have contained splashes or even littered with nonsense as well.
I tend to be more of a positive/optimistic type of Jovi fanatic which in turn makes me guilty of consistently sharing the more uplifting reviews/articles.
