It's disgusting. I hate it. It's the reason I don't like (most) cake. IT'S THE REASON I CAN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT.

But really, it is horrible! I used to like it though, when I was young and didn't know any better. I am more of a savoury/salty type girl anyway.

You ever tried batternburg cake? If so, it tastes EXACTLY like the stuff around it (though it's not actually it).

If you've never had batternburg then shame on you. Anyway, Marzipan is...hard to explain, it's really sweet, as others have said, after one you can feel quite sickly - but before then it tastes so beuatiful.

It usually comes wrapped in chocolate, mostly dark but that sucks. When it comes wrapps in milk chocolate then you've hit the jackpot. Especially if it's thick chocolate, OH GOD!

Seriously, go out to the shops NOW! Go get some and eat it! You'll never look back on your old life without it, you'll look forward to your future knowing that marzipan will always be with you...until the shop you go to runs outta stock.

Marzipan is the best - especially since it reminds me of St Nicholas' Eve. This time of year shops around here are filled with marzipan, but fresh self-made marzipan is even better... yumm .

A Scandinavian bakery (that has since gone out of business) used to make the best Marzipan cakes with the thin sheet stuff over whipped cream and cake. It was to die for And of course, since I'm Italian, at Christmas the small fruit candies made out of Marzapane have always been around. I try not to eat too many

It's called a "princess cake" and you can buy a frozen one at any store or a fresh one at almost any bakery. Another reason for youto visit Finland. Althoug the cake is originally Swedish, I think...

I don't like marzipan that much, but I do like the almond paste we get around here, like marzipan, but with more almonds.

It was called The Viking Bakery and it might have been Swedish. However - with the correct name I might even find one here - thanks
