I hate it. The falsetto is in Gotta Let It Go and Hallucinate, and yes, it's minimal, but it's distracting. I think he started doing it in Girl Like You (X). Boy, that's probably the second gayest Leppard chorus ever after All Night.

Just as a comparison, let's see where Lost Highway came in for those same countries:

US: #1
Canada: #1
Japan: #1
Switzerland: #1
Germany :#1
New Zealand: #2
Sweden: #4
Finland: #3
UK: #2
Ireland: #5
Norway: #7
France: #39

Hmmmmm.

In it's 2nd week on the US charts, "Songs" dropped from #6 to #28. Down 67% with sales of 18,000.

I knew this was going to happen. They should've cut the falsetto and all the stupid Slang and X influences in the album!

That aside, I wish they have a label that promote them well.

Universal is promoting them very well, considering it's Def Leppard.

It seems as though we have different perceptions on what makes an album commercially sucessful. I'm not saying the band themselves are not pleased with those numbers, they may very well be. From a "sucessful album" standpoint, however, those are horrible charting numbers especially for a band as "big" as Def Leppard.

Considering that, for some reason, you keep comparing DL to Jovi in this thread, those numbers are really dissapointing in comparison to the numbers Danfan posted for Lost Highway earlier.

Yep, as predicted dropping like a rock. This week on the Billboard 200 the cd is down to #30.
