Default The official AC/DC thread

So, before I created this thread, I decided to run a little search and find of this has been done before. What I found was over a dozen different threads talking about them live, reviews of black ice and just general talk about them. So I decided to create this thread.

I rather enjoy black ice; I think it blows stiff upper lip way out of the water. I was also looking at there setlists for the past few months.. And they are exactly the same, night after night. While I don't really have a problem with this, it kind of ruined any suprise at all and the chance of hearing a different song is slim to none.

I got extremely lucky, and for the first time in my life, I'm in the first 15 rows on the floor. My seats are row 4 on the floor right at the front. (my friend is in the fanclub) anyways, what im really pushing at, is (even if it's nice and pretty and we beg) if we bring a sign asking to play 'big balls' (don't ask why, it's kinda been me and my friends anthem for a while) do you think they would? Again, Seeing the setlists makes me extremely doubtful, but I wanna know if it's even worth trying.

Don't care for them with an exception of like 2 songs.

However a good mate of mine saw them live a little while ago, even phoned me during the gig. Now he wants to drag me to one of their shows next time they visit.

Can't say I'd be too excited but rock 'n' roll is rock 'n' roll, right?

The only album I have is 'Black Ice'. I enjoy it, although I know it's not their best, so have promised myself that I will be buying the more well-known albums in the next few months. Great band.

1. Let There Be Rock
2. Powerage
3. Ballbreaker
4. The Razor's Edge

Those are in my opinion their best albums.
Black Ice is oké, it listens easy away but it misses the 5 minute songs as there are on Ballbreaker which is in my opinion, their last really good album. After that came Stiff Upper Lip and Black Ice, albums with 3 minute songs. Before you get in the song, it's already over. My top 5 of Black Ice is:

1. Rock N Roll Train
2. Big Jack
3. Spoilin For A Fight
4. Rocking All The Way
5. Decibel

I salute you,
TS

Go see them. I saw them twice. 2 hours of pure rock as it should be. Loud and energetic !

I salute you,

I specifically remember you saying war machine was the best on BI and rock n roll train was 'boring'

War Machine is a mix of Live Wire and Givin The Dog A Bone. I never said that was good and I also didn't say RNRTrain was boring.

The album just doesnt show what AC/DC is. That's what I might been trying to say.

I salute you,
TS

Look in their eyes Mom you'll see me."
