Apparently my sis had to make a minimum donation to charity so they must be making sure whatever charity it is still gets their money for every comped ticket that gets given out.

I can live with that even if 90% of the ticket money is going to the wankers iin the band.

I can't really take if you are joking or not.

Anyway, even though I think Bono looked really tired towards the end of the concert, I had the most amazing time last night. What a concert! What a crowd! I loved loved it.

We were in the quite centre in the inner circle by the rail. I so glad I decided to go for that spot as the stage was very high. Besides we had all of them running/walking along the catwalk in front of us all the time. And we had Bono on top of our heads when he used the moving catwalks. Superb atmosphere, I'd not trade that spot for anything in the world.

Only one negative point from me...I don't like Moment of Surrender to end the concerts...I think one of their many popular hits would be a lot better (like closing with Vertigo last tour, that was brilliant!). They could have actually closed with With or Without You last night and I could have been the happiest person on earth.

Again they showed what a superb band they are.

What I liked was the fact that they played all the songs I wanted to hear.....Elevation, Vertigo, One, Beautiful Day etc.

Still gutted that I didn't attend Night 2 I wonder what that setlist was....

Apparently last night Bono sang a bit of Oasis' Acquiesce at the end of Vertigo, misquoting the lyrics and being dreadfully out of tune.

You mean like he does with his own songs?

Hehehe you have a point. Judging from the video I saw Bono murdered Vertigo just as badly.

Seeing them at Sheffield on Thursday, Iv heard very mixed reviews (not just from on here) but will go with an open mind. Dont think it will top MAnchester 05 just becos I was a big fan of the Vertigo album.

Have a great time Carli. I also loved the Vertigo tour and still enjoyed Twickenham mucho more than Wembley last weekend but I may be in the minority of those who loveeee the new album soooo I totally enjoyed it last Saturday. They are superb band whatever negative things people say.

I'd love to hear your comments (and Kev's - he is going with you, isn't he?).
