Wow, talk about affordable sister line... The Bon Jovi mention bothered me too. Totally unnecessary. Also, I surely don't mind, but Richie did all of the talking.

Anyway, I'm trying and listening to that Cyberstorm Radio thing, but so far they've only mentioned someone else who left their band, the hows and whys... no Richie.

OMG, that is so offensive. IF I owned the CD I would celebrate by smashing it and flushing the pieces. Since I don't own a copy I guess I won't "celebrate." The whole idea of celebrating Richie's solo music right now just boggles my mind.

Why do so many people on this board think they have some sort of ownership over someone they don't know because of a situation for which no facts are available?

The amount of nonsense in this thread is staggering.

He was in the band for three long decades, IF he has indeed left, just be grateful he lasted so long.

You have no say or control over the career decisions a person makes, just because you like the band he was/is in.

Nothing that person said indicated they had ownership over anything. It's ridiculous to celebrate a 1 year anniversary of an album. Its ludicrous to do it when you have walked off your bands (which is celebrating its 30 year anniversary) tour.

Of course I don't have any say in the matter and I wouldn't WANT to control anything Richie does. He is a grown man and can do whatever he pleases.

My point was just that it is ridiculous to promote "celebrating" the one year anniversary of his solo album, especially in light of him walking off in the middle of a tour. He may have fabulous reasons - at this point I really don't care.
