It's epic but in America, it never hit radio so unlike a stairway, it doesn't have that following...

Kinda confused to how some people rate Dry County a 7 or 8, yet also rate This House Is Not For Sale a 7 or 8.
I get opinions are subjective, but come on... |
10 for me, too.
Imo Dry County is a masterpiece and out there on the same level with my other (subjective) favorite BJ tracks, like Saturday Night or My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms - but tbh, there are still more Bon Jovi songs I would give 10 points out of 10, mostly from the 90s. Oh, and I did give THINFS 7 ;) |
A 9 I guess. It's definitely awesome, but a 10 to me is a song I personally love. My favorite song on KTF is probably ITA, and that one just has a heartfelt, simple but elegant sincerity in its notion to it that makes it more immediate to me.
THINFS is a simple pop/rock-song, and as such, it works just as well as Dry County does for an epic rock song. Say It Isn't So is also super simple, but some people on here love that one. It's kinda weird to compare the two - of course Dry County is the more sophisticated song; that doesn't mean its better by default. (That being said, THINFS is definitely not a 9 for me.) |
I gave it a 9 but every time I hear those drums building into the solo I get taken away... 9's probably harsh.
|
10, easily. My all-time favourite song
|
It's a 10. Not my absolute favourite song, but it's way up there. It's Bon Jovi at their best, with all the band members giving it everything.
Still one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard. |

However with dry county we're seeing a much more one sided opinion 9 and 10s mainly. |

And only one person dared to give Dry County a rating of just 6... ;) (as of now) |
11 for me, a great song. Too bad it just doesn't seem to be really good anymore live. Best versions are from the nineties.
