I'm loving 'A teardrop to the Sea'!!! So far my favorite of the new ones that I've heard. I can just about picture it live if they bother working these songs into the sets. And an awesome choice for an album opener, sounds sincere, awesome modern and traditional Jovi at the same time! The "ohh oh" melody works as an amazing bridge between track 1 and 2 which is We Don't Run.
Blind Love sounds like a What about Now left over, but I like that they kept it simple and let Dave be the driving sound for it..... |

TTTS is pretty good. Jon even pulls off some nice throaty vocals towards the end. The solo is just okay, sadly. Still, this actually sounds like a rock ballad. Sure, it ain't got KTF-style production, but it would be great to hear live. My favourite from the new songs so far, despite the plodding chorus.
Blind Love sounds like a b-side from WAN (which it very well might be). Total filler. |
'Blind Love' has to be one of the most boring songs I have heard in a long time.
Don't think I'll listen to that again until the album is out. Absolutely love 'A Teardrop To The Sea', though. Quite a dark song and something different. Haven't heard Jon/the band sing/do a song like that for a while. I like it. Really like Jons vocals for most of it too. |
Where are you guys hearing these? I have successfully avoided the previews but you're really killing me now!
