Yeah, don't forget, Jon didn't put Richie off the tour. Richie took himself off the tour with a last minute surprise phone call. That's just bad writing on the part of the journalist.

I'm not sure why they mentioned Richie by name; nevertheless I bought tickets. As a former Clevelander, this is the best of both worlds for me. Michael Stanley was bigger than God in the Cleveland area in the 80's and I believe he still holds attendance records at multiple venues in the area. Interestingly (or not) Bon Jovi played to 14,065 people at Blossom Music Center on the Circle tour. Michael Stanley played to over 74,000 people at the same location in 1982.

As for the Cleveland Browns, I'm a fair weather fan so I could give a hoot about the pep rally, lol!

Technically, he said he does it with other artists (he mentions The Killers), but yeah, I'd like to think he looks Bon Jovi up as well. :)
