I think some of these licks at the end of the extend Prayer take are from River Of Love. But... that's a weird outro. Good thing they cut it, actually. Never Say Goodbye also did well to go straight for the lead part.

Ive listened to most now and have no idea what they wanted to achieve with this this. Is it to make it sound more natural? If so it works in places but not in others.

Some of it sounds like it was made through a ZX Spectrum. I think Prayer is awful. The final "Wooah" is cut and then a horrible computer sound comes in.

I like the little changes like the ending of Let it Rock (the song ends and don't fade out). The play-out of bad name is good but as said Prayer is horrible. The Woah's sound more natural like its live but that play-out is awful.

Social disease as far as I can tell they haven't changed anything. Neither Wanted.

Raise your Hands has a great guitar start before launching into the normal start.

Haven't heard the others properly yet so will post later on them.

I have to agree with all this however I still enjoy it. The Prayer thing does sound weird. Raise Your Hands is the best. The Social Disease has different people doing the into...why? I have no idea. But it offers something different and the meat of the song has a better sound so I don't mind the little tweakes... however that Prayer Outro was done horribly wrong.

Yeah its like the sound has more weight to it all songs. More depth.

Probably because they are not compressed as much.

JBJ sounds louder and the song sounds how 3D looks with the voice slightly on top of the song rather than in it. I hope I've explained that OK cos that's how it sounds.

But that LOAP - Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

That's actually a great explanation. Jon's vocal is louder in this mix which isn't a good or bad thing. It's just different.

I think that's the original Raise Your Hands version as it was originally recorded! The extended outro is great where Jon says that his manager is going to book him on mars and then he calls him a son of a bitch.

Other than that, there really isn't much more to add. It is a nice addition to my collection. They should have wasted their time on cleaning some of the demos instead but that's JBJ management for you.

Rest of the songs.

Raise Your Hands – Lots of extra guitar before start. Then the original song kicks in. Guitar more enhanced throughout. After solo there’s some funky 3D* keyboard sounds. As mentioned more words from JBJ saying “Anywhere I haven’t been, my manager will send me there. If there’s a place to play on Mars I’m sure he has a date. Son of a bitch!” Song ends with a “Raise Your Hands” that has a echoing finish on the word Hands. Great version this.

Without Love - Drumming sounds more prominent. No change to song.

I’d Die For You – Keyboard, drums and backing vocals sound enhanced. No change to song.

Never Say Goodbye - Acoustic Intro that leads into original opening that’s slightly extended. Acoustic guitar is more 3D sounding pre chorus in the “Together Forever” lyrics. Solo ending is more 3D sounding.

Wild In The Streets – Slight guitar revving sound before original sound. Last half a second but sounds good. The guitar sounds really 3D on this and there’s less keyboard during verses. As song ends JBJ says Hey Baby! Really liking this one.

*When I say 3D sounding. A song sounds 3D (to me) by placing enhanced sounds in places over the original layers of the song.

PS Original SWW was released 29 years ago today!

If I didn't already own the DualDisc, I would happily pick this up. I like the surround sound mix but I've hardly listened to in the 10 years I've had it and I find it hard for some reason to sit town in front of my TV to listen to an album. (Though I could just turn the TV off!)

Nowadays I listen to music mostly in by car or iPhone, but that's something I should change.

i had HAND dual disc and sold it for the same reason that i dont like listening to music through tv

But the point is not listening through TV but through a nice 5.1 music player. You can plug the console to your computer or DVD/BR player and listen to it.

This is so freaking cool. It's like a new BJ album :D.
For the first time I finally heard what that chick was saying at the beggining of Social Disease: "Dr. Bon Jovi report to emergency please"
