JBJRose 11-16-2006 11:19 PM

yeah I am watching just now, he is good :)

Irishshin 11-16-2006 11:26 PM

They were all excellent!!!

Really wish I had gone now!

Yvonne 11-16-2006 11:26 PM

that was actually quite good!!!! shame they didnt show them walking up to the stage!

loved prayer and wanted both really good perfomances and it was funny how Richie took to the microphone and made a speech first, was very happy.

Yvonne 11-16-2006 11:27 PM

was it me or did the crowd seem 90% BJ fans?!

Irishshin 11-16-2006 11:29 PM

There seems to be LOADS of fans there which was great!

Was so nice to see Prayer 94 again. And they seemed to have gotton loads of play time too! Really great!

I thought Tico & Dave said something too?
They must have cut it :(

Sambo-Chris 11-16-2006 11:31 PM

Yes, they did. They cut it as I just read on another board. Unfortunately the show isn't shown here in Germany.

The show was really nice from beginning to the end and I'm glad that I decided short-termed to go the day before yesterday. A very nice ceremony.

Jonny Sambora 11-16-2006 11:46 PM

I was v.impressed! And it was great that Mr.Sambora took to the microphone first! Prayer 94 was excellant.

RichieW2001 11-16-2006 11:57 PM

it wasn't prayer 94...... the performance was predictable, the guitar licks were forced and really didn't fit the song. richie's solo on IML was good but barely audible. not hugely impressed.

joss stone was the star performer of the night.

i liked james morrison singing rods song

aph01 11-17-2006 12:06 AM

i thought for once its my life sounded great live!! richie has changed the talkbox solo a bit as well. Dunno what was different about the performance, the guitar seemed heavier or something, anyway, sounded class!!??

Some people are never happy.....

UKjovi 11-17-2006 08:55 AM

I thought it was very good and enjoyed it and they seemed to aswell .Thought Joss Stone was great but Brian Wilson?? is he abit past it or what?

debrunho 11-17-2006 09:56 AM

Anyone know where I can check out the performance. Nothing as of yet on youtube?

totally agree i felt just the same about iml but on tuesday they really kicked it.

Flame 11-17-2006 10:27 AM

It kicked arse, I was just waiting for Bon Jovi the whole night, and when they came, i was glued to the TV, twas good to see the wives there. The performances rocked, and IML DID sound heavier, Richie has added little bits here and there to it, to make it kick more arse!

jbjhand 11-17-2006 12:33 PM

i just watched it again im rubbish at picking these things out but im sure the base was heavier especially at the end, it sounded a bit funkier to me.

jovilaura_fi 11-17-2006 12:37 PM

It was a great performance, and looked just as atmospheric on TV as it did at the time.

They cut Tico's and Dave's speeches, I think Dave took the microphone first, followed by Tico. It's a shame, because especially Tico's speech was cool.

Brian Wilson was horrible, Taija and I were wondering how he can sing when he had such trouble even getting on the stage.

Joss Stone was excellent - I loved the Bon Jovi performance, but I think Joss stole the show at the end. She's got an amazing voice, and her performance was something special. I really liked her.

Ollie 11-17-2006 01:43 PM

Anyone know if it's repeated any time soon on Uk TV???

Cuchulainn 11-17-2006 01:55 PM

lol was it just me are did Dermot O'Leary seem to enjoy the performance?? thought his reaction after they had finished was very very good! and funny! seems like a big fan!

Thomas Anderson 11-17-2006 02:21 PM

Actually it's on More4 at 9:10 on Saturday

windy miller 11-17-2006 02:55 PM

...It was a great night...and loved the bands performance...I thought there was more Richieness in there too! :D ...Think Jon could have smiled a bit...gave me bad hull vibes!..Richie's speech was great! :D

...so glad they didn't edit Rod's speech..that was priceless! lol...what a nice bloke!

James Brown was amazing...overall it was really interesting to learn about the other artists...especially Sir George Martin and his contribution music. Shame the band didn't return after their set to see the rest of the inductees.

JerseyGiant 11-17-2006 03:35 PM

I thought jovi's performance was great!!! i was sitting on my sofa with my "bon jovi forever t shirt on lol (im so sad) wish they didnt cut david and tico's speeches out  but it was great. it did seem that most of the audience were their for bon jovi, all in all amazing show.

I thought Joss stones performance was great and james morrison doing the rod steward song was amazing. Rods acceptance speech was a laugh.
:)

oh, i do apologise for having an opinion on the matter. are you telling me the performance was that perfect that nobody should have any gripes with it? i wasn't that impressed. full stop.

gabriele 11-17-2006 06:03 PM

great performance by richie (nice solo, and he change the riff at the end of my life)
i don't like jon's voice. expecially at the end of my life sounds orrible

gabriele 11-17-2006 06:04 PM

my life sounds different because the volume of talk is low and high the guitar one

Richie was on form, I think he was trying to show off. Several of his heroes were in the audience, I think he wanted to show them that he can still play.

UKjovi 11-17-2006 06:25 PM

and that he can !!!

Can you remember what Dave & Tico said in their speeches?
I also thought I read that Oprah sent a tribute, but there was no sign of that either. Or did I dream that?!

jbjhand 11-17-2006 07:37 PM

i didnt notice that was she not on the vid last night? cant understand that

windy miller 11-17-2006 07:55 PM
