For the first time in my life I don't regret that some Jovi stuff will not be released. That's pretty good info ;)

I'm not familiar with this guy or anything he's ever done. As a matter of fact, I've never even heard his name until this thread... but from the small amount of material I've heard, it doesn't sound like a Jon Bon Jovi fit at all.

It does seem like it is indeed a label thing. Similar to what prevented the Keith Urban collaboration on Who says from being released....

I feel like people are starting to head into this direction of believing that an artist on one label can't sing with an artist on a different one... which is totally false. There are stipulations and it is ethically valued to promote within but there are plenty of examples of artists crossing labels. |

It would be a shame if this didn't materialise. Whether it sounded good to us or terrible, it would have been great promotion to reach out to the contemporary young audience.
Rather that than have a dance act bastardise a Jovi classic. |

Yeah, artists can sing on other label artist's songs but the label has to okay the release. If they have their own release coming up the label might say no, or many other reasons but you're not quite right on this one. |

I just heard the story about their vocal similarities. And when you compare the 2, Jennifer's version makes more sense. |
