What part of "fighting for my life" does he not understand?
His side of the story:

It's easy to say, "Why doesn't he or she just LEAVE a partner like that?" But it just doesn't appear to be that easy to DO. |
Anyone who uses twitter for "poingnant" means should be rounded up and shot regardless of their crimes real or imagined.
I'm only half joking about that - in 50 years time our historical record will be 40 digit vapid mumblings???? **** that. |

"I beat the crap out of u, I concentrated on your face so u cannot attract other guys or work in porn anymore, I love u, and I hope u are OK." |
The damage that people do to each other in the name of love is beyond comprehension - my comprehension anyway.

Good news -- he's off the streets!
MMA fighter War Machine arrested
New York Daily News: Simi Valley, Calif. police honed in on...Jonathan Koppenhaver at an extended stay hotel. He had pizza and cash when he was busted 'without incident,' police said. An extended stay hotel, huh? I guess he was rehearsing for the "extended stay" he can look forward to in prison! His current charges:
Don't know why attempted murder didn't make the list -- because she escaped? |
My Mother lived one town over from Simi Valley and she taught in the Simi Valley schools for 30 years. She grew up here in Manhattan and I will never understand her liking for that area. Most everyone I met in Simi Valley, was extremely conservative and completely paranoid. No one would even invite you to their homes for a drink - there was practically no mixing at all.

On crime shows both true and fictional, I've heard detectives speak of a criminal's "comfort zone." I never doubted that he hadn't gotten far -- not because he didn't have time, but because he strikes me as someone who can't function if he's not feeling completely "comfortable" and in control. I was betting on either Las Vegas, Los Angeles, or San Diego where he'd been living since May. Though it's near LA, Simi Valley took me by surprise...but guess what? He GREW UP there! |
Lady and the Tramp?
Koppenhaver's attorney Brandon Sua has announced that his client will not contest extradition from California to Nevada. Now unfold your handkerchiefs and cue the violins:
Quote:
No doubt Sua is working up a killer defense (if you'll pardon the expression), based on a sob story about how Koppenhaver's police officer father died of a heart attack despite his 13-year-old son's attempt to give him CPR. Is it any wonder that his mother then turned to drugs, forcing him to pretty much raise his two younger siblings? In addition, I'm sure he's also digging up every speck of dirt on Christy Mack that Koppenhaver can supply. If they can convince the jury that Mack had deceived him into believing they'd reconciled or provoked him by sending "mixed signals," they might decide that Mack doesn't "qualify" for justice -- she merely experienced a "consequence" of her "chosen lifestyle." But Sua is going to have a hard time writing Mack off as just another gold digging tramp when his client has appeared in twelve porno films between 2009 and 2010. And Koppenhaver might have continued with his brilliant career if he hadn't had to take two years off to go to jail for -- WAIT FOR IT!!! -- assaulting people! Meanwhile, Mack has been offered constructive surgery from dentists and plastic surgeons, and has received nearly $100K in donations. Of course, she's also been accused of not being worthy of public sympathy. Indeed, someone went as far as to suggest that her donations would be better spent on disfigured war veterans! No doubt this is their idea of a "nice girl" -- the one who turned Koppenhaver in: Quote:

9/13 Update from Christy
Via Instagram:
...I've had several dentist visits to make eating more comfortable and make my smile look more normal...I've...(been) made aware that I'm very lucky to have my vision...since the muscle is tethered by the fragments from the blowout fracture in my left eye. Meanwhile, Christy's accused assailant War "Jonathan Koppenhaver" Machine sits in jail awaiting trial on 32 charges including "attempted murder, sexual assault, battery, coercion...lewdness...battery constituting domestic violence, sexually motivated coercion and witness tampering." If he's having trouble raising bail and legal fees, he could take advantage of War Machine being his legal name and try his hand at suing this guy: Quote:

Update: Koppenhaver suicide attempt delays court date
Here's the latest -- Days before he was due in court:

And what has he to say to his lady love? Quote:

Unfortunately, War Machine is right about another thing: If he can convince the jury that Christy had sent him too many "mixed signals" about the status of their relationship, they might decide that his reaction had been "provoked" and he had not acted "unreasonably." |
