Haha :D No it wasn't. The setlist was:

Song For You
Burn That Candle Down
Every Road Leads Home To You
Lay Your Hands On Me
Nowadays
Takin' A Chance On The Wind
Stranger In This Town
Sugar Daddy
I'll Be There For You
Seven Years Gone
These Days
The Answer
Wanted Dead Or Alive

Where are the marvelous surprises I didn't dare to dream in my wildest imaginations of my deepest mindset? Or was he actually performing the songs without ****ing them up all the time? Was he actually saying things that made sense? Did he learn how to read from a teleprompter?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

You're getting a bit optimistic there Seb! No doubt he was out of his tree again - you can't control these 'rockstars.'

Heard there was a lot of Jon bashing last night. Anybody that went care to elaborate?

I haven't heard anything! I'm hoping someone will give us details.

That review is written by the Editor in Chief of Guitar World Magazine. I mean, that is proper high end in terms of critics and what a positive review it is. Why does Richie get this umber-positive reviews whereas, say Jon played a gig like that, he'd be again put back in his place as New Jersey's second rate Bruce Springsteen? Just wondering...

Where did you hear that there was a lot of Jon bashing? Was there anything more specific than that?

I texted a friend of mine who went to the Tuesday show and asked if Richie did any trash talking about Jon and she texted back, "none at all."

(She's another of us shameless "Richie girls" though so you may want to verify that! :D)

Take away TD, Answer and Sugar Daddy and you have last night's set. Doors opened over an hour late, so show started late at 8:30 and was over right before 10 p.m. The surprise of the night was Marc Roberge (lead singer from OAR) singing Seven Years Gone with Richie. I'll see how it gets cut for the PBS show but at times it seemed a bit clumsy and Marc looked like he didn't know where Richie wanted him to sing. Richie messed up Lay Your Hands on Me so that one had to be started over. Good show, to me, not great, but it was good to see Richie. Oranthi seemed underutilized. Loved the drummer!

No Jon bashing but at times it was not easy to understand him. That's my take. I saw Kethleen and Paul so I'm sure they will have waaay more to add.
