Blame It On The Love Of Rock Aand Roll

i think this song is one of their best.(ok it's not so original) but WHAT ABOUT THE LIRYCS???THAT'S MY STORY!!!!!!simply galattic!!!!!!!!!!i' m really shocked knowing that they have never played this live and i don't understand why it's so great.it's in the vain of SLEEP WHEN I ' M DEAD but really it rocks more!!!!!!
DO YOU LIKE THE SONG GUYS????(it's better you say YES,..........ahhahhh
i'm joking)
bye

letitrock 06-20-2003 11:17 AM

of course i do

it's my biography (almost...)

Rune 06-20-2003 11:18 AM

Yes, it rocks! I love the lyrics!

Christo 06-20-2003 11:30 AM

GREAT song. :D

Thierry 06-20-2003 12:24 PM

Nope sorry, i dont like it.. Its in the same line as sleep when i am dead those songs suck bigtime.

al 06-20-2003 12:47 PM

yes, it has been played live, but just 1 or 2 times. anyway, it's one of my favourites songs, much better than sleep...

Fabian 06-20-2003 01:19 PM

I don't like both of the songs very much, but if I had to chose, I'd say that ISWID is better. Especially live in a medley.

Blame it on the love ... has been played live once. At Yokohama 1993.

You always seem a little grumpy?? why so??
p.S, LOVE the song.

jenn1189 06-20-2003 03:29 PM

I've always loved the song. It's one of my favorites.

choclady 06-20-2003 04:05 PM

i just love it :D

Kathleen 06-20-2003 04:37 PM

I love it too. The lyrics really speak to me. I have a few live recordings of it but I have never heard it in concert myself.

Kathleen

Mr Bluesman 06-20-2003 06:29 PM

It is a great song, telling the story of about 90% of Bon Jovi followers. The lyrics are great!

Becky 06-20-2003 06:46 PM

It's fun, but kind of generic--it and ISWID are the ones I'm most likely to skip on KTF.

Becky

I love this song......

Shaun 06-20-2003 09:15 PM

good song

great storyline

Thomas Anderson 06-20-2003 10:27 PM

I've never heard a live version, but I prefer it to I'll Sleep When I'm Dead. They both sound very similar, but I think this is a bit better.

Tashjbj 06-20-2003 10:37 PM

I like it, it's a fun song. It's great to sing a long to in the car!!

Tash

Rakel 06-20-2003 11:26 PM

It's little boring to type always "I love this song!" but you guys only talk about songs that I love, what can I do?

but the song is great!

90% WTF ?

i AM NOT 90%

90% of BJs followers:

a) have long hair
b) weren't liked by their teachers
c) play guitar
d) are male

???????????????????????????????????????

ugly_queen_from_mars 06-21-2003 12:51 AM

it's good, not one of my favourites though.

Keba 06-21-2003 12:52 AM

Yeah, I like the song, too. And I can relate. I also like the drumming in the intro. It's too bad that it's nearly identical to ISWID, especially since their both on the same record. Still, both songs are fun! :D

lol maybe he meant 10% ?

Mr Bluesman 06-21-2003 12:58 AM

I meant 90% of the people who like Bon Jovi, or 9 out of 10 people.

this board is quite select in that on the whole the posters can be quite critical of the band - but on here we're talking maybe 5-10% of people can truly associate with the lyrics

in the wider world of BJ fans it's far from true

even in the 80s (1985) it perhaps wouldn't have been too much about 60%

Oh yeah, if we were talking about those who have TRULY lived that 'rock n' roll' life. There are too many who pass themselves off as rockers when they haven't gone as far as to 'play their music way too loud'.

Stay Human 06-21-2003 01:58 PM

I am a fan of this

Man, this song takes me back to my childhood, I remember getting the KTF cassette tape for the first time, and playing this song over the phone to my then best friend of the time..... man, god I felt so cool listening to this....

it truly emotionally rich song. Very vivid, and true to anyone who loves rock and roll!

letitrock 06-21-2003 02:21 PM

i play my music way too loud to the extent that i've gone weeks sometimes after a concert or band practice with strong ringing in my ears and to where now, i have a permanent (albeit quiet) ringing in my ears

any conversation with me needs things repeating quite a few times

Stay Human 06-21-2003 02:27 PM

Awesome

Let it rock, that is a condition, cant remember its correct title, but i get it often, music should only ever be played loud! Man wooooooaaaaaaah Im gonna go crank it and sing tonight....

I've had the same problem. Up until I saw Deep Purple at Birmingham last year I thought that my hearing was back to it's normal self after concerts, but DP changed that! :P
I'm not saying that you don't 'play your music way to loud', I'm sure that you would have it louder than it usually is if you could.

RockerFan 06-23-2003 09:45 AM

I totally AGREE with Mr. Bluesmann.... I can fit with the lyrics TOTALLY 100%... and i think that you also when first heard to a BON JOVI'S song for example, felt a kind of booge woogie fever growing trough your bones or not........this is a song so simple and is truly a mirror of my life

1)i've long hair
2)i play guitar
3)my teacher's didn't like me........
