Most misheard lyrics

Prayer, to my surprise, comes in 3rd. I've never had any trouble understanding Prayer.

Talking misheard lyrics, I realised I have been singing along to Wanted Dead Or Alive incorrectly for all of these years, and it took me hearing a cover of the song for me to work it out. I had been singing "I got the not on my side" instead of "night on my side" since I was six years old until late last year.

I still reckon my version of the lyrics sounds better, so I am gonna keep singing it that way.

I saw this article the other day, and refuse to believe that some people really heard those lyrics - I think people were having some fun when they answered the poll!

Talking of mis-heard Bon Jovi ones though, one for me was from This Ain't a Love Song, I always thought it was - "And now it's so sad, and whatever we had it would save me" rather than "ain't worth saving".

I have heard of people thinking It's My Life had the lyrics "Like Frankenstein, I did it my way" haha

Some of my non-English speaking friends heard "Shakira hard" instead of "Shot through the heart" in Bad Name :D

I thought that Jimmi Hendrix had the most misheard lyric (even he started singing it wrong to get laughs).

Scuse me while I kiss the sky

Scuse me while I kiss this guy LOL

I would think Smells Like Teen Spirit would be the most misheard lyrics of all time since no one can understand what the hell he's saying in most of the song. LOL
