I can't wait to watch this movie despite its long list of cliches because I'm a big Al Pacino fan and because Danny Collins (the character) is like so many real life rock and pop stars that it's almost like a documentary (it reminds me of "This Is Spinal Tap"). And it's loosely based on a true story (the John Lennon letter part):

Now this Danny Collins is modeled after Neil Diamond but he reminds me of some other guys we know... ;)

Has anybody already seen it? (not out yet this side of the pond)

Haven't seen it yet but I will be watching it...I'm a big Pacino fan and a huge Ryan Adams fan (pictured right in the photo) who has a new song on the soundtrack apparently.
