Did we ever get confirmation on that? I seem to remember this version popped up on a random music site and that's theory we all went with. I recall Jon saying the 3 songs were written for the GH and This Ain't Love was the only leftover track from The Circle.

I like the final arrangement better. The chorus has more punch in it, and the guitar slides in the chorus are a nice touch.

Since the tone and "idea" of the solo is pretty much the same as in the final version (and also slide-ish), I'm kinda puzzled as to why the slides in the chorus were added later.

What Do You Got was also started during The Circle sessions:

Also, I remember Jon saying "we re-recorded What Do You Got the same week we released it" (sorry, I don't have a link for this).

So you're right, we never had an official confirmation, but based on all these elements I'd say our theory is pretty accurate.

Story of my Life is a great and underrated song. I love it! Complicated might not be the best they've wrote but it fits the whole record.

They're really a year late on calling this an anniversary edition. No 1 glamorizes a 26 year milestone...

According to the most recent article that Becky posted, Jon wrote 15 of the 30 songs himself for KTF. My collection has 26 songs listed so I'm missing 4.

Aside from that, does anyone know the 15 songs that Jon wrote himself?
