Actually, We Owe Tico's Appendix A Huge Debt Of Gratitude
 

According to the news reports, Tico got sick just before the band was to depart for the venue for souncheck. If his appendix had decided to wait just a few hours more and attacked him DURING the soundcheck (or the gig itself) when his heart rate and body temperature would have been elevated -- well, this story could easily have had a much sadder ending.

Even his appendix loved him enough to sacrifice itself.

You could write a mother****in' film on this....Richie goes AWOL, Jon and Richie at war, Tico nearly dies, Richie sees sense that life is too short, Richie bins off that scraggy whore, comes back to Bon Jovi, they write a rockin' album in 2014 followed by the mother of all tours and all is good and well in Bon Jovi land.

You left out "Dave nearly dies" and "Jon has a throat operation" and "Al has a motorcycle accident" and "Dave cuts the tips of his fingers off"! Or were you saving them for the sequel? :D

Tico's appendix has served us well for 30 years. Bless it.
