Yeah, well, it would seem that's only important when it's something Jon prefers... Like delaying the LH tour because he was moving house and needed the personal time to be with his family.

Then again, they're doing this fall tour because he and Dave and Tico apparently didn't have enough bonding time in the studio a few months ago and they want to hang out some more. I guess they don't have BBQs in the great state of NJ where they could spend some time together and be close to their families at the same time. Just another difficult decision CEOs have to make, I suppose.

(Sidebar: For someone who has no plans to promote Burning Bridges, he sure is getting a lot of mileage out of that one interview. I think this is the third or fourth day in a row I've seen a new re-hash of these same comments, and strangely enough, the reports all include a reference to the album. Hmmm....)

He looked about the same in 2012 (minus the grey hair), but then slimmed down for the tour. He'll probably do the same, it's not like he's got long ways to go.

Which happens at HIS sole discretion. It's one of the perks of being the owner/CEO and carrying the added responsibility that goes with that.

All I'm saying is it would have been nice if he had given the same priority to Richie's request that they take more time before cranking up for the BWC tour, rather than giving him the choice of going on tour or leaving the band.

But based on his nonchalant "...because no one was in a rush to go back out again" (or words to that effect) when speaking of the 2016 tour at the Q&A, maybe he's learned a lesson.

Here's a news flash: every parent would rather spend time with their kids. I'd rather stay home with my cats. The responsible ones among us still show up for work.

I can't believe anyone actually finds this shocking. If you do you either must not have kids or must not have a job.

Methinks some people here live in a Disney movie!

You're right, Sir. He's got a "dad bod". That's what they call it nowadays, says the wife.

No news flash. It's not surprising at all that someone would want to spend time with their kids. I do find it a little ironic that he's actually saying that all of a sudden.

And most responsible bosses recognize that sometimes employees actually need some time off when they request it, and they find a way to work it out, especially when the work schedule is within the boss's control. They don't typically throw the employee onto the horns of a dilemma in response.
