Default Richie Busks Undercover For Musicares Charity

Richie spent some of his time off after the first leg of the What About Now tour raising funds for The Grammy Awards MusiCares TipCup charity, which helps musicians in financial straits. On behalf of saxophonist and open heart surgery survivor Alvin Flythe, Richie traveled to New York City and disguised himself as just another starving artist playing on the streets for tips -- tips that were matched by Motorola to the "tune" of ten grand! Oh, and Mr. Flythe "played along" with the masquerade in more ways then one!

Props to JoviTalker Foxli for the heads-up:

Cool thing to do. But I don't see how Richie Sambora in a hat and sunglasses is "undercover." LOL He looks like Richie on a normal day. He should have put on a wig and a dress and pretended to be a drag queen.

That is very nice of him to do, and as to his 'disguise', on a YouTube video taken by someone on the street, you can overhear a young-sounding woman (or maybe a teenager) asking, 'Is he famous?' lol...and another woman answering, 'How can you not /know/that? Seriously...how can you not know?! lol

Well, of course his clothes look way too new, and his guitar and case looks way too expensive. I used to carry my electric guitar in a cheap beat up old acoustic guitar case to fool potential muggers into believing that it contained a cheap beat up old acoustic guitar!
