Holy shit! Only few years ago I thought Hugh McDonald should never be a band member cause the guy is an old fart. But comparing to these guys Hugh looks like teenager!

Does anyone else find it funny that the "band" is playing from sheet music? This can't be the first time they've played these songs, and they're not that hard to learn. Also Jon seems to be looking at a prompter most of the time.

And Jon doesn't seem to be wearing his in-ear monitors. Is that the reason he's so flat at times? (Like @2:39 in DA)

I've a feeling they probably got a list of songs to go through at home, and then did a quick rehearsal a few hours before they were supposed to go on. Because, you know, Jon is that professional. Who needs a memory when you've got computers and paper sheets to look at?

I find it remarkable how no one's come up with the idea of providing him with a songbook, so when someone requests a song he knows he's slightly capable of doing (like It's Just Me) he could just look it up and play. It worked for me, people shouting random requests, someone else looking up the chords and off I went. But then again, Jon ain't me.

And as far as being flat goes; unlike you and me, he just can't sing anymore. Isn't using the same technigue you and I use, and unlike you and me, has lost pretty much all of his range. I don't think it has much to do with in-ear monitors.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Imagine how incredibly insulting it would be if the board pooled some money together and got a book of all of his songs, and I mean ALL, with the lyrics and chord changes. It'd be frigging fantastic and useful but the look on his face would be worth it.

Oh, if I ever win the lottery I'll buy 10 of those VIP tickets and fly a bunch of people of this board to that meeting, providing you all with brilliant questions to ask. The look on his face would be worth it. Over and over again. And if he'd walk out I'd sue the ****ing fanclub for contractual breach.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
