Default These Open Arms on new Clay Aiken CD

Just read the press release for Clay Aiken's new CD, due to be released September 19th. Thought one of the track listings would be of interest to Bon Jovi fans:

THESE OPEN ARMS
Written by: Jon Bon Jovi & Desmond Childs
Produced by: John Fields

They have listed it as a "new song", but it was one of the bonus tracks on the Japanese version of HAND.

Here is a link to the release: Press Release

Oh thanks so much for posting! I will definitely be buying this CD. I am not embarrassed to admit I really like Clay Aiken. I find it a little odd he is doing an album of mostly covers but I just read the track listing and I can really see the album becoming a HUGE hit. Those songs definitely appeal to his fans. When I first heard Bon Jovi's version of These Open Arms I actually thought it was pretty weak. It's just not that great a song in my opinion but i do think Clay's voice and style match it pretty well.

(cue me on the big screen) JBJ: "How good have you been? Oh My God!" (laughs, more teasing) JBJ: "You want it huh, you want it huh? Blood on Blood just for you, the good girl in the front row? The all request hour, the girl in the front row has just asked for Blood on Blood, ok, Merry Christmas young lady!" Amazing <3

Clay is one of those artists that folks either love or hate.

There is no denying he has a great voice and I look forward to hearing what he does with "These Open Arms".

So apparantly it looks the new trend in music is any song Bon Jovi doesn't use on their album winds up going to a former American Idol contestant. Interesting. First Bo Bice with Nothing now Clay with These Open Arms. Hmmm.... what lucky Idol will get to cover Unbreakable??

Sadly enough, I could totally hear Kelly Clarkson doing it.

Oh My god. I'm trying to picture Unbreakable as a smooth r&b jam with smooth male vocals, and it's hurting my head.
