Default The Ultimate Warrior dies at 54 years of age

http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/26951039

Tragic news just after he was inducted into The Hall Of Fame. Idol of mine as a wee nipper. Him vs Hulk Hogan in WM6 got me into wrestling. There goes the childhood

^^^ Yeah, that was a Legendary match.

He was part of my childhood growing up. My late Father loved him. If he was still alive today, he'd still believe Wrestling was real lol

Couldn't believe it, watching him on Raw on Tuesday then waking up Wednesday morning to find out he had died. At least he got that closure by getting into the HOF and appearing on WWE after so long.

Terrible news.

A lot of those guys from the 80s aren't around anymore through heart defects caused by steroids. I remember seeing something with him on it a while ago and thinking that even by the standards of the day, he was huge and ripped so must have been on a fair whack of roids.

I think he died Tuesday. Apparently walking towards his car in a hotel car park. Weird to think to think he seemed fine on RAW hours before. I'm wondering if he was still on roids and the WWE were going to have him on some sort of angle in the future. His veins were popping out of his neck on HOF. Still, 54. So damn young. No love lost with Hogan though. They couldn't stand each other.

Speaking of the HOF did you not think it was weird how Hogan wasn't on stage with the nWo?

There is hell on amongst wrestling fans as a lady called Nancy Grace (not sure who she is...talk show host in America perhaps?) has claimed he died because of steroid/drug abuse despite it not being known what he died of.

Not only that, but in a list of wrestlers she named who died of steroid/drug abuse, Owen Hart was included.

Absolutely incredible.

Yeah, she's not made herself popular with that comment, and getting her facts wrong by including Owen on that list hasn't helped!

What is a fact though is that he was a raging homophobe and activist against equality. I know you should respect the dead but he didn't when he said that he was glad Heath Ledger died simply because he starred in Brokeback Mountain so I don't think he deserves any either. At least Heath Ledger was a good person.
