Default Jon Visits Asbury Park Music School

Jon Gets Serenaded at the Lakehouse Music Academy

Quote:
Lakehouse Music Academy is a progressive music school in...downtown Asbury Park, NJ that teaches all levels and ages...in a real and relevant way...

(On) November 8th, Jon Bon Jovi...spent a couple of hours with the students talking about his experiences in the world of music. Sharing interesting moments about his early days, Jon balanced stories about his faith in his dreams and the hard work that helped him to achieve them...

Jon play(ed) an acoustic version of Who Says You Can’t Go Home and the Lakehouse Jr. Pros (ages 8-11) play(ed) Livin’ On a Prayer!

UPDATE: The bassist who Jon pointed out was named student of the month:

But that bass is almost as tall as SHE is! I hope Jon is supplying the school with kid-sized instruments. Fortunately, they're not expensive -- a mere one thousand dollars on his part could buy a junior guitar, bass, and drum kit. Struggling with full-sized instruments might cause them to believe that they are the problem and quit prematurely.

He's probably looking for a guitar player. He figures Richie acts the same age so why not...

Fair play to Jon. Whatever we think of his direction musically over the last decade and a half, he's an absolute class act.

When you see stuff like this, the sick kid and the lemonade stand, the way he's handled the Richie situation you have to say he's a classy individual.

I agree! I am sure he enjoys what he is doing too, I mean, he has young children and it seems he is concerned about their needs.
