Default Most Annoying Christmas Songs

I'm sure we've done this before, but times change, opinions change, and new music comes around every year... so in the spirit of the season, what are the most annoying Christmas songs?

I think one of the most all around annoying Christmas songs, no matter who does it is "Santa Claus is Coming to Town." The Jackson 5 did a god-awful version. Bruce did a god-awful version. I just heard a god-awful version on TV. I think that song just sucks.

Twelve Days of Christmas--there's just no way to make it good.

But, the song that annoys me the most on every level including intellectually and spiritually is The Christmas Shoes. Here we have a song about a guy singing about what a a great guy he is for buying a poor kid shoes to give to his dying mother so she can "look beautiful" when she meets Jesus. Cue nails on chalkboard. The Jesus I know does not care about what you look like and certainly isn't interested in your shoes! Those are not the souls he died for. So Mr. Egomaniac should have told the kid that and not to worry about shoes. That song literally makes me angry.

Sorry, I can't figure out how to embed.

This song used to come on at my previous workplace (a coffee joint) every couple of hours and would drive me nuts.

Yeah - that one certainly qualifies as annoying LOL.

I agree with Becky about Santa Clause Comin' to Town - and I went in a store the other day where Alvin and the Chipmunks were playing. Ugh....Seriously? I wanted to walk out but I had too much shopping to do.

I had never heard that one before. Lucky me.

For me all of them. I hate X-mas and the songs to it too.

I don't hate Christmas but I despise all the traditional songs being played to death after Halloween. Even the songs that I used to like I am sick of.

I love most of them but after a week or so I start to get bored of hearing the same ones.

X Factor killed off Christmas songs, for me. And for most other artists it seems...

My favorite Christmas song that past few years has been 'Driving Home For Christmas' by Chris Rea.

Worst is probably that Destiny Child one, 8 days of Xmas... Awful.

I was in a captive audience today at a Delta Kappa Gamma meeting where we had a high school choir sing not only Santa Claus is Coming to Town but also... Christmas Shoes. I wanted to throw up. They only did 4 songs. And those were 2 of them. How crappy can my luck be?
