It's not bad for it's intended purpose. The production is a bit much but if it was toned down, it could actually work.

Considering Jon's current vocal state, Shanks does a great job taking about 15 years off of them by bringing them back to the Crush era... However he went a little overboard on this track with the digital sound.

I think he should keep Shakes on for his vocal work and then add on another producer to do the rest of the music. That might be the direction of the new album based on what we've read so far.

So two new songs in two weeks on total opposite sides of the spectrum.

I like the whole song much better than I liked the clip. The music doesn't overpower the vocals so much. The lyrics sound very much like something Jon would have written so the song suits him.

The more I listen to it, the more I'm digging it. Very catchy...

I'm actually getting used to the production.

Personally, I think the song is awful. Admittedly I've only listened to it once but it might be, for me, the worst Bon Jovi/Jon Bon Jovi song.

The tweaking of his voice seems useless to me as he can perfectly replicate that sans echo has his voice has gone a bit raspier since getting his shot blown off to pieces last tour.

I don't hate it, but its totally forgettable and the lyrics are very Gary Barlow (not surprising I guess)!

They've made it sound like current Bon Jovi and it would fit snug around the middle of What About Now.

Vocals are quite good. Don't mind in the slightest how doctored they are, or that they can't be replicated live. If i'm buying a studio album, I want to hear the best possible vocals and if that means studio wizardry, then so be it.

I think Rock N Roll just died with JBJ singing that awful song that sounds like a Take That Bside

Starts of sounding like Beautiful World on WAN - its as if this sounds like an early draft of BW.

Yeah, It sounds like a mash up of about five different tracks starting from HAND forward. It's even got the 1 - 2 punch that Have A Nice Day has at the end. Shanks also adds in the quick 1 - 2 - 3 punch throughout each chorus. Typical Shanks style production.

The only blame I put on Jon is the fact that he continues to use him...He's not a horrible produce and in some ways he's quite brilliant but all his songs sound the same (and a little overdone).

Unfortunately, I think this is the best we'll get from Jon. It was painful watching him sing at that Bahama show. There is no way Jon could enjoy that. He's constantly straining, his face is beat red. I don't know how he is going to get through another tour without Richie's backing vocals.

I will agree what someone else posted about Jon giving us doctored studio vocals for a decent album even he he can't pull off half the songs live. I'd rather some decent songs with fake vocals then an album of songs Jon could sing live. The last thing I want is an album full of songs like "Reunion"...An album outlasts YouTube videos from a tour.
