Default Make A Memory live in Toronto

There are actually a bunch of songs in this video, but (You Want To) Make A Memory is just great. The harmonies mixed in with the crowd singing are magic!

Is this a spambot? Or a real post?

The video actually features some different songs from the Toronto show as wel as a timestamp in Make A Memory - so it's either a real good bot or an actual post

AWESOME! Love this song! Love it live too.

Jon is the man. Every time I watch videos from the shows I just can't help but think of how cool he is up there. With his million dollar smile to boot.

Not so sure to be honest. I'll admit I quit following the WAN tour after Richie had left. While I did still check out setlists occasionally, I stopped watching videos. So I know Jon's voice wasn't at its best, but he looks like a strangled cat during what I always considered a song he should be able to nail easily. While the overall performance sounds good (I even liked Bandierra's solo) and the audience plays a great part, I am quite astonished as to how much his voice had deteriorated by that stage. Again, maybe that's just me being out of the loop.

You're right - I said it's decent regarding the circumstances of this late part of the tour. While Jon's voice hadn't been the best to begin with in early 2013 it rapidly went downhill as the tour progressed - in fact I don't think it had ever been that bad before.
So give the situation at that part of the tour I guess it was good, but as you said the audience played a big part in making this one decent.

I think it sounded just ok. The early verses aren't vocally challenging. Once he hit the high notes in the end, he struggled and did his weird word pronunciation thing. Finally, he didn't hold his end note.

There are different reasons behind me liking different songs. I like some for the lyrics, I like some for the hooks, some are just overall catchy.

With this song, it's all about the build up and then having a stellar ending. Jon needs to hit the highs and sit on that last not for as long as he could. If he doesn't, it's like watching a great movie with and ok ending which in turn just makes the movie ok.

Watching that Amen video made me wonder: What would the 90's Jon think if somebody told him that, in order to hit that Ameeeeen note, he would have to look as if he was about to blow his load ...
