Default Steven Tyler New Country Song (& Album)

Steven Tyler Confirms Plans to Release Solo Country Album

One of Nashville’s worst-kept secrets is finally officially out: Steven Tyler is going country.

Fiddle and steel-laced tune paves the way for Aerosmith frontman's Nashville-approved solo album

The idea of a Steven Tyler country album may come as a bit of a shock to some longtime Aerosmith fans, but as he argued in an interview with Rolling Stone last year, he sees his rural New Hampshire upbringing as putting “more country in me than people think” — and the lines between Nashville and arena rock have been blurred repeatedly since the rise of Garth Brooks in the early ’90s. If Bon Jovi can have a No. 1 country hit, why not one of the Toxic Twins?

For those that listened to Aerosmith's latest album (which happened to be their only album in the last 10 years), the country rock direction is anything but surprising. This song doesn't sound drastically different from a few songs off that album. Which is OK.

I heard it when he did it on the American Idol finale and, quite frankly, thought it was one of the best new songs I've heard in ANY genre in a LONG time. It's a heck of a lot better than that horrible foray into Bro Country that Bret Michaels released (Girls on Bars).

To my taste I like new song. True, it is not that big, but it feels good.

however, Sedona Sunrise is much better.

Perhaps, but what's your point? Sedona Sunrise is an old demo from Pump sessions that was reworked and released in 2007.

My point is that I like the new song despite not being a masterpiece.
About Seduna, I did not know it was a reworked, I have never heard the demo. I only heard to the version included in the greatest hits 2007, is very good.
