Default Spoke to obie last night...

He confirmed the greatest hits will be part 2 and not career spanning one! Fantastic news! 4 new songs all rockers and they sound fantastic (apparently)

I'd love if it really is part 2, with no Prayer, Bad Name and other shit. The only songs that need to be there from 80s are Born To Be My Baby, Livin' In Sin (maybe) and Only Lonely (big maybe).

Well Obie's been wrong before. I'd be very surprised if it is part 2, especially if it is the record company's decision, because it will flop and they won't make anywhere near the same amount of money out of it.

It will be a commercial failure.

The casual audience will not care.

I'll believe it when it's in my stereo playing!!
If it is only part two then it should be only one-disc version and four new songs is too much. Releasinf two-disc version is nonsense imo, it would too expensive and nobody would buy it, the only song that interests people is It's My Life, there is no other hit, no other widely known song. And in today's world of internet, it is not problem to get one song.. I'll buy it I think it will flop.

So this is a song about having a dream and chasing it, till you find the Bright Lights." - Aldo Nova.

Think they will have to include Prayer-Bad name-Wanted in some format whether that be free download-bonus track or Could even be given as additional Vault tracks to introduce people to the Vault idea but i think they have to be there.

I agree,I read somewhere that Jon said it would contain hits after 94' and few big hits like Prayer,Bad name and Wanted, with some new songs.

You would be surprised at how well the newer songs are going over with the casual crowd. These Days tracks are popular, as is IML, Crash, HAND, Who Says.

Its no great shakes to stick Crossroad as a bonus disc for a 2-cd edition, or add a few of the old favourites to an iTunes bundle. I think we have too little confidence in the bands material, it will do well.

I wager it'll get high in the charts in America, UK, Europe, Japan and Australia.

Because Jovi haven't released loads of GH albums beforehand there is a market for a new album. Jovi is a commercialy successful band, people will see the second GH alongside Cross Roads and buy it to compliment the first GH. Just because the material isn't up to the 80's/90's standard doesn't mean it'll fail. Times and tastes change and I think songs from HAND and Crush feel modern enough to support this album.
