Default Phil X played on a latest bon jovi record ???

Hi guys.. I've found phil x interview in which he states that he has "played on a latest bon jovi record". Check the link from 2:10 - 2:30

That's something i didn't knew. Maybe he worked on a demos for the circle while Richie wasn't at hand ? I'm pretty sure Jon wouldn't allow any other guitarist than Richie to lay down the final licks on a record.. On the other hand - Richie's style is so distinct that it would be easy to recognize somebody else's guitar on a record.

Strange.. What do you thing ?

He revealed on twitter he did a bit of session work on "What do you got". Why, is beyond me.

Probably because the song needed to be finished and Richie wasn't there to do it. It hasn't been that unusual for Richie to "miss" studio or writing meetings with Jon in the last few years. I seem to recall Whole lotta leaving being written by Jon and JS because Richie just didn't show up to a writing session..

acutally this song was written for Richie, meaning it'd dedicated to Richie. Not because Richie didn't show up for writing a song.

At the show that I saw with Jon at Lincoln Center in New York, he specifically said that Richie didn't show up that day. He said that Richie wished that he had been involved with writing that song (Whole Lot of Leaving) but he just didn't show up.

I have it recorded and could transcribe Jon's speech if anyone was interested.

That's it! I knew I'd heard this story somewhere, but I couldn't remember where.

"Each song played was just another example of how ingenious these guys are at writing choruses that make you feel like there’s a big game tomorrow, that you’re the underdog, and that you’re going to win."
