Little Steven would be an amazing addition to the actual live band. His stage presence & fooling around would add some much needed charisma to the Richie-less line up.

Maybe Jon will do a Bruce & add shit loads of band members to cover up for the loss of a key member.

I like how Jon laughed when he mentioned the KOS and said it's just a non serious fun band.

I also like when he said he'd be hard pressed to take Richie back even if he wanted to come back after pulling what he pulled.

And then they were 3. Who's next ?
So Phil X is the new Hugh McDonald guitarwise, right?
Hugh who's now working in Vegas and called "former Bon Jovi bassist Hugh McDonald"...

Let's not forget that Jon did a little "pulling" of his own. I think it's going to come down to Dave and Tico "pressing" them both "hard" enough...

Handled with class, as always.

I have to agree here. He didn't want Pierre to rehash what happened on the day and he said he is not judging. As you said - class.

Handled that with class... I wonder however after hearing Richie's mis matched ramblings this past year - one time gracious another rather crass - if he would have done the same? It does sound as if David & Tico did/do come into consideration as to RS returning.

I got the impression that Jon feels bad about the whole thing. I guess the ice challenge was Jons indirect way of reaching out to him... Richie is going through something right now and once he gets out of it or grows up, he'll come running back to Jon. There is no doubt.

It's mad because Jon is saying this yet something keeps telling me that Richie will be back. I don't know why but I just do. I thought Jon answered the questions in a really good manner and he seemed very genuine in what he was saying. Would it be so bad to take Richie back? Yes, I think it would. Like he said, he missed 80 odd shows. To step back in when he feels like is kind of insulting in some ways. I know if I took 80 days off work, I wouldn't be allowed back. (Just a comparison)

The Tico & Dave thing is a strange one. You kind of forget that they do actually have a say in this, really. I think it's good if Jon does let them anyway because we all had the impression it was just Jon.

It's interesting what will happen now, though. Jon seems keen to start writing and do another album but with Richie gone and Hugh 'apparently' gone, where does this take them? Although he isn't an official member, it's still interesting what route they will go down now.

If Richie actually bothered contacting the band members, then this would be a lot easier. Quite happy that Jon isn't the one making the first move really as I don't think he should be. Leader of the band or not.

Thing is with Jon. He must know all the problems around the band (quality of output and his voice as well as the Richie stuff), but nevertheless he seems more relaxed and secure with himself. He seems okay with where he is in his career, if that means he isn't a 52 year old rock star, he seems content with that.

It loses me as I am not interested in any music he has put out recently, but again he seems okay with not pleasing everyone. It is such a stark contrast between him and Richie now that it is not hard to see why there was a break. Sure, for some Richie being all "rock star" may be cool, but I think most of us know that it isn't really. And even taking the silly labels away, one looks secure and happy and the other one looks unstable and a mess.
