Default Happy Wash Day, Beyonce!

I've figured out why the song Hold Up from Beyonce's Lemonade album has been rattling around in my brain since I first heard it this afternoon:

It's based on an Andy Williams song that has been rattling around in my brain since I first heard it in 1963!

By the way, Becky, are YOU "the Becky with the good hair"?

New York Times: Tidal (the music streaming service owned by Z-eyonce) announced that in addition to its streaming version of Lemonade, it would be selling a version for download at $17.99(US)...the album is expected to be released for sale on iTunes...Amazon also confirmed that it would soon begin selling both digital and physical versions of the album.
Save your money -- The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill is lot better as well as a lot cheaper:

Regrettably, it sounds like Lauryn has been educated about when to start the gig by Axl Rose.

TheGuardian.com: Lauryn Hill...(who) was two hours late to a show...issued an apology on her Facebook page...

“The challenge is aligning my energy with the time, taking something that isn’t easily classified or contained, and trying to make it available for others,” she wrote. “Because I care so deeply about the artistic process, I scrutinize, have perfectionist tendencies, and want space made for spontaneity, which is not an easy process, with the many moving parts on the road...”
Aligning your energy with the time? Don't try that at work -- your boss may decide to "align" your salary with a new employee!

The show had been due to start at 8pm. Hill reportedly arrived on stage at 10.20pm and at 11pm her microphone was cut due to the venue’s strict closing time.

Many in attendance expressed their outrage about the situation on social media...But many defended the singer, noting that Hill is known for her tardiness. In 2014 she kept an audience in London waiting for up to 90 minutes.
Oh, so she's broken the personal best record she set during an Olympic year -- one gold medal, coming right up!

While this doesn't effect my endorsement of her album, I'm obliged to recommend that you invest your concertgoing money elsewhere...

Rapper Talib Kweli came to the Grammy winner’s defense...(tweeting) "I would not recommend an artist consistently be late. But if they are, so be it. Art should be unpredictable."
Oh, really? Well, then, tell you what, Kweli -- stop charging for people to come to YOUR gigs, and start living on "predicting" what they'll pay on their way out! Musicians like you are the reason why musicians like Matt O'Ree have to resort to crowdfunding, you @sshole!!!
