Absolutely... if you're familiar with the NJ Tour, he would whale scream the last minute of IBTFY... And continue that through many songs... There is no way that is good for longevity. Singing from the throat and not breathing correctly all plays it's part

With his voice shot to bits, ironically it became easier for him to sound raspy. So I actually believe that those strong points at Teardrop were without much studio doctoring.
