Dream come true
Bon Jovi rocked Toronto last night. This is my sixth Bon Jovi concert and the second one I have seen at the Ampitheatre. I admit I was a little worried because I know that they had just done two shows in a row in Detroit and I saw them in November at the ACC, but Bon Jovi didn't disappoint. I think I even enjoyed this show much more. There was more rock'n roll and less talk. I really enjoyed seeing the rapport between Jon and Richie that was missing from the November show. I did notice that Jon was drinking a lot of water at the beginning and it looked like he had some throat lozenges too, but he sounded great. (He was also chewing gum a lot!)
For a long time fan like myself it was nice to hear songs like "Raise your hands" and "Wild in the streets". I don't think the reviewer from the Toronto paper was anywhere near the front because all of us were singing along right from the beginning, not just at the chorus as the writer claimed.
My dream was to be in the front row and I finally did it. I only wish the front row was a little closer to the stage. After last night's performance I now have a second dream and that is to be on stage. I would have loved to have been part of the conga line or be the girl that Jon danced with during "Bed of Roses" (another nice surprise).
I was glad that Richie was able to have some solo time and sing his song "Stranger in this town".
The band looked like they were having fun and enjoying what they were doing. I know the crowd sure was enjoying it too. Jon looked really cute in his colourful tuque and Sopranos shirt at the end.Someone needs to remind him that just because he's in Canada it doesn't mean it's cold.
My only question would be why don't they play anything from the "These Days" album? "Something for the pain" is on the live album yet I haven't heard them play it live since the "These Days" tour. It was a good album.
If you haven't seen a Bon Jovi concert yet you are missing out on a really good time. Two and half hours of rock'n roll and you're on your feet the entire time. It's amazing. Bon Jovi forever.
