Gabrielle Luna, Tiger Lily and Colton. I don't think those are too weird. Ava sure isn't. Romeo Jon? Hell yeah.

Ice
It's pretty sad you know all their names, Ice .

At least they didn't name them after the place they were conceived like the Beckhams did.
Tiger Lily was used before, by Paula Yates and Michael Hutchence. Ok, with the addition Heavenly Hiraani (Heavenly Hiraani Tiger Lily). Paula was a sucker for weird names, I guess, going by her other kids' names: Fifi Trixibelle, Peaches Honeyblossom and Pixie.

I like the names Stephanie, Jesse, and Jacob. I feel sorry for Romeo. I mean, naming your kid Romeo is asking for him to get beat up. And I know it is absolutely none of our business what they name their kids, but I'll tell you I don't like the names my cousin Amy picked for her kid either and I'll chuckle at other names I encounter by working in a school system.

About Dorothea wanting to name Jesse Louis--I doubt that was her pick. Louis is after Jon's grandfather. They both liked Jesse and James is after a family friend (according to Jon on The Tonight Show). Dorothea got her pick on Stephanie because Jon wanted to name her Rebecca (I'm not making that up. He said it on a Japanese TV interview). LOL

I think you are right here Neil about Romeo to be old name ....and yes dave's kids name are more uncommon than Jon's kids name

as a parent I think honestly this is noone of our business to decide and judge what Jon did as a father ... none of our business to say if Jon's kids are ok or if they are poor lil things to get such names ... I think Jon's kids name are normal by the way ... all of them sorry guys ...but if it was not the case it is still their dad's liberty to choose a name without getting our reaction AS IF we are involved !!
on a side note I am surprised to see how narrow minded some replies can be ....if it's not common it's not ok ? wow ...
LOL ... it's a joke right ?
Keeper said it right but really this is none of our business really ... If you don't like them and want to be vocal about it it is fine but not much about the music isn't it (isn't it the essence of this board to not be as shallow as the other board and talk music better than the other board ) ....

my kids have uncommon and thought as weird names and I love them (the kids and the names but it's related ) I don't care when someone says about my children names .... they are my kids and not yours and the connection between me and the kids name is MY BUSINESS and this even if I was someone public

Btw I am back but through wproxy.com without that I cannot access this board (thanks to Karen for the info )

I said the names are not what I'd consider common but that doesn't mean I think that they are weird. I don't know what I'd call any children of my own, but I certainly wouldn't say what someone else should or shouldn't name their child.

I suppose this thread is more "what names of these do and don't you like" as opposed to a name being bad, which is completely down to personal opinion anyway.

Thank you!

I am partial to Stephanie since it is my name too . I like Jacob a lot and Jesse (by itself) is good. I don't like Romeo, at all.

I think naming a child Jesse James is a bit hokey, but it's better than some names celebrities think of. It's as if celebrities are in a competition to see who can give their child the weirdest name. I mean Gwyneth Paltrow named her kid Apple for Heaven's sake. So Jon's kids are quite lucky I think.

But I'm sure everyone has a reason that's important to them when choosing their children's names. My son will be named James Herbert after my dad and grandpa. Now, I think we can all agree that Herbert is an awful name, but it is essential to me to honor my grandfather in that way.

KTF!

Roger Taylor (of Queen) was the first I know to use Tiger Lily.. I think it is quite sad to saddle a child with that.. just as Romeo.. god is that child going to get teased!

I like Stephanie, Jesse and Jacob though..

I know what you mean. I want to use the name Sadalia in my daughter's name if I ever have one because it's an old family name that's been used in many different generations. I don't especially like the name, but it will be fine as a middle name. Names are all personal and cultural anyway. Right now Madison is the most popular name in the USA and I absolutely HATE it, but it's obvious a lot of people love it--including my cousin who used it for her first daughter.
