Jon and Richie can’t have not spoken about the future when they watched the documentary together - especially as Richie said he wanted to rejoin and had a folder full of songs to give to Jon he had written - also the total silence from Richie says something unless he’s waiting …. Could it be he was asked to keep low - let the new album he’s not involved with come out and depending on Jon’s voice either get back together or reunion tour next year - it would be big news and promote the tour …… Box set or something aswell …….. ? Jon I don’t think wants to not be the best he can be at present with Richie able to sing well so I think this is a timing thing - even the U.K t.v presenter pushed him about fans wanting Richie back …… He’s a great businessman and knows BUT he may not want to go back to the past ….. but Richie is very quiet …….

The presenters' asked some good questions on Good Morning with JBJ.

a) Will continue making Album(s)Not Finished.....
b) JBJ didn't close down Richie Sambora coming back....
c) Touring is undecided.....Depends on JBJ vocal progress.

Seen News articles JBJ walked off....Ben Sheppard the presenter, said he was pleasant, said good-bye and went to other interviews.....Didn't walk off.

JBJ seemed a bit uncomfortable with some Questions ( Voice, RS) at least someone asked!

I felt like they kept pushing it with the same points too long and he got a bit fed up and tried to move them on...

Here's a question that may or may not belong in this thread.

I see people annoyed that JBJ dictates the conversation and what can be asked. He chooses the topics and what he wants to be asked so he can give the answer he planned on giving. But I also see him getting topics that seem to annoy him and the RS stuff. Does it depend on the show he's on and whats off topic or is one or the other? The amount RS gets brought up, he either wants to be ask that or he has no control over the questions, right?

Yeah he could say "no questions about Richie" but the whole Richie thing is a big selling point of the documentary so without the drama of that the documentary doesn't seem like as compelling a story. He might not want to talk about it, but at this point talking about it serves a purpose....if he was solely promoting a new record there would be very little mention of Richie. The documentary is the big deal here and the album is pretty much a foot note on these interviews and far from the focus...

I find it mad that Richies not been interviewed about the documentary unless he's not allowed to be

It is crazy that they are not using him to promote the documentary - that has to be a conscious descision from "the orginization".

I sincerely don't think he has meaningful control nowadays. Before, power of record company was prominent, as was the pull of the band. Also, access was very vertical/hierarchical. But now I think Jon is happy when media is interested, and perhaps there are more subtle considerations like can we tone down this topic etc. Having said so, he's now riding this my weakness is my selling point (while before, anything controversial would be no go, especially voice or band problems).

Though I do think that this Sambora saga is not something he prefers, but perhaps understands necessary to get to mainstream attention. However, I am a bit perplexed in his acceptance to not promote a bit more new single and album in these several interviews.

I for one am kinda surprised how aware the public at large (morning shows and the like) seems to be of the importance of Richie Sambora. For the longest time, the average music listener (and even casual fan!) would refer to Bon Jovi the band via stuff like "i like his music"; i.e. "wait its not just jon?".

It could be possible Richie could be coming back after the album promotion and he’s been asked to stay quiet - he may release his solo album later in the year (lol) and then either unite for a 2025 tour which would be the big selling point or start back by writing some new songs totally after the Forever album cycle ……. No animosity you would have thought he would have attended a premiere or said something unless he’s been asked to stay quiet….
