I hear ya. I don't see her as a leech or a yes person, I think they have an actual connection and either legal issues keep preventing him from putting it out or they can't decide when enough recording is enough.

Um...only if they were working on it before they met!

The good news is that soon we will leave doubts, this summer we will duplicate music. BJ THINFS and Sambora collaboration album.

Whoops, my math was crap there. 2 years with Orianthi, 3 years total of an album in general.

No worries. I was just giving you a hard time. Gotta do something to maintain my reputation as the resident pain in everybody's backside, right?

Not that I particularly wish to contribute to this thread but to alleviate fears of a country album keep in mind that just because Richie is writing country it doesn't mean he is recording it for himself. Like pop stars, many country stars use professional writers. For instance George Strait has had over 60 #1 songs and last I knew written 0. Don't fret over what could be nothing but his being a prolific and diverse writer.

You can't say I didn't try.

I hear ya! Also I find it coincidental that we have not heard a peep on Richie and Orianthi's album for a while, only several instagram pix of them in the studio, then all of a sudden, when Bon Jovi announces this week that there album is now done, Richie and Orianthi announces that there album will be released by next month, according to them. I know that Doc McGee is now representing him, I don't like to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but the timing is very weird, oh well, I could be wrong.

Gonna post this here, since we're talking about country and Becky is here. Boy Gets A Truck by Keith Urban sounds A LOT like Any Other Day. Not in that it's ripping off the melody, but just the feeling it conveys. Doesn't seem to share songwriters, though.

Might give it a listen if you dig Any Other Day (as I think most people on here do).

I think Richie taking a 'Nashville Influenced" direction is a great idea and the right decision from a marketing standpoint.. there is nothing Richie could offer the rock world right now. Even his masterpiece Stranger In This Town was a flop so a rock album by Richie in 2016 would be DOA, with the exception of the 20 rock fans he has on this board... Jon and Richie are songwriters and thats what the country scene is all about. Simple rock songs with a hook and twang... Maybe with a producer like Bob Rock, they could add additional elements...
