Dammmm. U2 is a mega touring giant. Bono, only being 54 is right behind the Stones.

You always get these shockers like Kenny Chesney who is only 46 (youngest on the list). He's a country guy who's first album came out in '94. He doesn't have monster selling albums. He's #9, ahead of the Eagles.

Amazing achievement for Bon Jovi and great article to read. What is astonishing about Bon Jovi's stats is that it is only from the HAND tour on. Doesn't include crush/own/bounce or the 90's. Mind boggling numbers. I know in the 90's their touring numbers weren't the greatest in the USA, but I would love to see the #'s they put up around the rest of the world during the 92-96 time frame

my numbers from 2000 to 2013 are:

ATTENDANCE: 15 111 790
GROSS: 1 163 846 794
SHOWS. 614

So those numbers from billboard must be wrong, when you add keep the faith tour with 174 shows and these days tour with 132 shows you will get 306 shows and God knows how much gross is from those two tours!

so we have 920 shows from 1990 to 2013 and probably about attendance 20 000 000 and gross about 1 400 000 000 which means they are number 3 behind Stones and U2!

Absolutely -- between what she's NOT spending on a traveling road crew and having an older "high roller" fan base who considers it a moral obligation to overpay, Celine must be pulling in MEGA coin, indeed!

Between Wikipedia, The Bon Jovi Museum.com, and the Dry County tour page, I come up with 947 shows. They came up with 578? A discrepancy that large throws the credibility of the entire article into question, not to mention defeats its purpose! Consequence should have based their list on the same number of shows, not the same time frame.

So let's split the difference between my numbers and yours: 934 shows; $1,544,667,964 USD gross; 20,113,607 tickets sold. That would put them in second place in the latter two categories, plus at #9 in average ticket price.

I therefore concur with your diagnosis. Hmmm -- maybe they didn't include the shows Richie and Tico didn't show up for...

Billboard is going by numbers that were being reported to them
Springsteen has done more than 1000 shows during 1990-2014

Bruce has done more than 1000 shows during the same period so his numbers will be more too

If Bon Jovi's numbers are understated it is likely the other artist's numbers could also be understated.

Either way, this is an incredible achievement and the band should be very proud.
