If you think Reunion, American Reckoning and Do What You Can are good songs then sure. I think they're the 3 worst Bon Jovi songs of all time, and Shanks had nothing to do with them.

Well that's not strictly true. He may not have co-written them but he still co-produced them and probably played guitar on them...

you think the production and the guitar playing are the reasons those songs are horrible? I think they're horrible because of the songwriting/vocals/direction jon wanted to take those songs. I think songs like Walls and When We Were Us, are much better by comparison.

Regardless of whether Shanks has anything to do with the reason that you don't like them or not....to say that he has "nothing to do with them" is completely incorrect.

I see people saying the albums would be better without Shanks, I just disagree, I actually don't think it matters if he is there or not. Apparently Living Proof is a great song so maybe everything is back on track now.

I never said they were horrible because of that. I love Do What You Can, dislike Reunion and have to be in the right mood for American Reckoning.

But if we are going to blame Shanks for songs on WAN he didn't co-write then it sure as heck has to be equal for all albums.

It's Jon's final say but Shanks is intriciately tied to vocal production (one of the big things I think brings down the quality of THINFS)

Shanks should've been like "jon the whole vocal on Reunion sounds awful but in particular don't sing the word Reunion like that, it sounds ridiculous" and "Jon on that American Reckoning thing can we just not please, it's god awful from start to finish."

I don't blame Shanks for What About Now. The Fighter is terrible but I put all the blame on Jon for that one.

I agree This House Is Not For Sale is just awful, but I don't put all the blame on Shanks. I will say whoever wrote the lyrics I'll be giving you the finger and sticking out my chin, boom boom boom, here comes the boom boom boom should be kicked out the band though.

Shanks is a wank and he has become probably very wealthy on the back of his association with the bon Jovi machine .

Richie was betrayed to an extent but made a rod for his own back by being a total junkie / alcoholic.

I hope he can get his shit together and Jon can find his 80% and they can bury the hatchet for a swan song . If not , they changed the world anyway and embellished all our lives and I'm grateful for them providing my youth with an amazing soundtrack
