Seriously? I think he's looking a lot better and way more together!

Remember the guy is 57 years old now!

I don't think he's really looking better or more sober, maybe a little bit, and that performance he gave a couple of days ago was not as bad as it used to be, but not good either...

Yeah and because of that discipline the performances from Jon sound even worse nowadays

And here is the issue of Bon Jovi. I can forgive some errors in the musicians, and some errors in singing, but not forgive poor performance in the singer when his voice sounds awful. Your autopilot and predictable set lists do not help.

Richie is not perfect, but now seems to be better than a couple of years ago, there are still errors, but the passion is there, and there are changes in the set list, for better or worse.

Curiously, these three shows in Brazil have more highlights than the 8 concerts of Bon Jovi in Asia the last year.

What you're missing though Rolo, is that the Bon Jovi production is that much bigger than that of RSO. I don't claim to be an expert, or even close, but with a production like Bon Jovi's on the road, where they have a big screen with video footage, a lighting show etc there isn't the scope for a wider setlist. You also have to take into account that the average concert goer only wants to hear the big hits.

I agree with the second part but the first is a cop out. 2011's tour had a pretty wide setlist and a massive production. The rarer songs got dropped fast in the beginning and slowly added back in for the European dates. The scope is there, the audience interest is not.

  • Why did Richie insist to start the first couple so early confusing everyone without even informing anyone?
  • Do they use a backing track and they had to be on time for it? If yes, then that's a good answer to the previous questions.
  • Why hadn't they practice the song? It's freaking Prayer, there should be some kind of respect for it and the people attending the show!

It's a great thing to play the song with your own style and refresh it... but not this. They should get their sheets together. I'm still waiting for Richie to return in his 2012 form. His talent is too much to be wasted... What a shame.
