I loved the video. It's simple and beautiful.

And what I found pretty impressive is that the video has a little more than 30 hours online and it's already has 668.376 views. Just to compare, What Abou Now has 3.834.137 views, but in 3 years online. It's a little more than 1 million per year. This House is not for sale is reaching this in a little more than one day. I think it's a good sign for the band!

Although I appreciate your optimism, What About Now wasn't the first single. Because We Can was and that is at 13,287,353, which is somewhat impressive (not including all the different acts)...

Yeah. I mentioned it in the first post.

Richie didn't walk oof on a whim, no. He stated many times the reason why he walked off: he needed to spend more time with his daughter, which he did for 3 weeks at best before being the usual wreck he's been more or less regularly for the last 10 years.
It's easy to understand the split. It probably stems from overlapping schedules. Richie blames jon for not letting him enough time for touring for AOTL, so successful a tour he had to cancel shows or play in front of 250 people.
In short, Richie couldn't stand being the sidekick he often boasted about being. And the unfortunate truth for him is that even today's Jon will always be a better frontman than he is, watching the videos around the internet of Richie playing the last 3 years definetely proves it.
About the way Richie's absence was announced to the crowd the infamous day, I can't see anything wrong about it. The numerous times he had to be replaced on previous tours was for health issues, this time it was because his grown-up daughter might miss him...
You may love Richie but it's difficult not to recognize he's an unprofessional mother****er.

About the band of brothers stuff, I can't see nothing wrong in 4 guys in their 50s/60s behaving differently from what they did back in the late 80s/early 90s. Does that mean the band of brothers thing was a fake back then? I don't think so, just like I thing it may not be a sham after so prevalent a member as Richie left.

Anyway, I think the video is great. It's nostalgic in a way but I like the way all the members are included. That's good, all the more as Bon Jovi videos had sucked since HAND. All the first part with Jon driving reminds me a lot of the Destination anywhere pictures, quite nice.

Jeez people, Jackie's posts were fine. God forbid should anyone suggest that maybe Jon isn't 100% a saint, and not totally blameless when it comes to the split!

Anyone that doesn't believe that there are two sides to this story is living in cloud cuckoo land...

I've already sent Jackie a PM apologizing for that snowballing like it did. Her posts were fine and I was honestly just asking about her opinion. Obviously there are two sides and Jon isn't a saint, that's not what was working people up.

I did a little investigation about new music video. Here's my info:

Video was recorded on:
- June 7th, 2016 at Old Westbury Gardens in New York
- June 8th, 2016 at St. Michael Cementery and around Old Steel Factory in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

It wasn't first BJ video recorded in Beethlehem, because they already recorded videos for "Bed of Roses" and "If I Was Your Mother" during New Year's Eve show at Stabler Arena in Beethlehem on December 31st, 1992.

Well, my daddy always said I'd argue with a fencepost. And it apparently took him about as long as it did you to get around to saying it. He said the first time he told me that I was 3 years old.

But how does contradicting answers make a debate difficult? Isn't that what a debate is - a discussion in which opposing arguments are proposed?

And as I told Symbeline, I'm fine. The only thing that may be unhealthy is the amount of time I sit on my backside responding to posts instead of exercising or doing something else productive.

The suggestion seems to imply that I'm delusional or devastated. I'm neither; I assure you.

I KNOW that I don't know the whole story. I know that when I offer theories, they're just that: theories, what-ifs, possible explanations.

I'm 99-44/100% sure that nobody else who posts on fan boards knows the whole story either. But the difference is that some of them profess to somehow KNOW that what they believe or assume is the absolute truth; whereas I'm just contemplating things while I wait for the rest of the story to unfold.

I'm not devastated, either. I'm sad that Bon Jovi isn't what it once was, but not debilitatingly so. The band sounds great in the new song. I saw Richie last weekend and he looks great, too. Stone-cold sober, fit, getting his chops back, and having a rockin' good time. Life goes on, man; and I'm right there with it.

I'm not sure what you mean by "These discussions took place years ago and like it or hate it, it is what it is right now for most of us."

I'd like to understand what you're getting at, but since my guess is that it has more to do with me and my disagreement with prevailing theory than it does with the subject of this thread, please PM me your explanation, so others can get on with discussion about the video.

No "contradicting answers" here.

See my previous response to Captain Jovi (#67: paragraph #1 after the parenthetical).

By all means, live in the now, RDK! But you better step on it, because if you're waiting' on me, buddy, you're backing up.

PhilX had posted pics after a private show and the patriots (I think it was) private jet flight, from his room on the waterfront in Brooklyn. Then he sent a thank you to a friend for allowing him to use an amp set up for a video. Think it's the set we see here. Not been back to check but it was 6th and/or 7th of June so your info makes sense.

I like the song but love the video. Did notice Jon is not singing in the car at first "the door is off the hinges" the way he was later. A stain on his shirt (looks like grease - I'm a mom, can't help it). I don't have a problem with the motion towards Phil for the guitar solo - he did that with Richie and Phil on stage during the tour. It's more a move for him than a statement about anyone imo. I don't think the band is as stressed as some fans over the new guitarist. They seem to be forming their chemistry. I hope the rest of the album rocks. Expect the Album Oct. and another single in Sept. as someone else has said.

You and I have already been down this road, Roll. I'm not derailing another thread to cover the same ground with you. It's beating a dead horse; and none of this has anything to do with the subject of this thread. As I said to RDK in my previous post:

I've already covered this, too.

It's only a sham if they're NOT a band of brothers, but trying to promote themselves as one because they know that's what the fans believe in and that's what will "rally the troops"...

I'm glad you like it, Roll. I love the new song and will probably like the video too, when I get around to watching it.

A friend sent me an email this morning with a link to the DA video saying that the new one reminded her of DA, too. I think there have been a lot of fans saying that on some of the other boards she follows as well.
